Steven P. Lednick

Steven P. “Steve” Lednick is a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, Missouri, born and raised in Crystal City. He is a graduate of Sacred Heart Elementary School and St. Pius X High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice from St. Louis University in 1995 and attended the University of Tulsa, where he earned the degree of Juris Doctor, with highest honors, in 2001.

While attending law school, Mr. Lednick received numerous academic honors including: Valedictorian of Graduating Class, Order of the Curule Chair, Merit Scholarship Recipient, Tulsa Law Review, Citation Editor and Phi Delta Phi. He received awards for excellence in Constitutional Law and Legal Reasoning & Writing I & II and was selected as a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Research & Writing program. Mr. Lednick was also nominated for the Oklahoma Bar Association Outstanding Student Award, an honor bestowed upon but a handful of law students statewide each year.

In addition to being licensed in all Missouri Circuit and Appellate courts, Mr. Lednick is also licensed to practice law in all Oklahoma District and Appellate courts, all Illinois Circuit and Appellate courts, United State District Courts - Western District of Missouri, Eastern, Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals - Tenth Circuit.

Mr. Lednick focuses his practice with the Lowry Law Firm in the area of criminal defense in all state, county and municipal courts. He defends the rights of the accused in all types of felony and misdemeanor matters, including, DWI, drug offenses, assault, stealing and all traffic and driver’s license cases. He has worked extensively in various aspects of criminal law with an emphasis on private criminal defense at the state, county and municipal levels. Mr. Lednick has also argued successfully in the Missouri Court of Appeals. In addition to defending those accused of crimes, Mr. Lednick previously served as First Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Jefferson County at the request of current Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney, Forrest K. Wegge.

Mr. Lednick is a proud member of the Jefferson County Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association and Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In addition, Mr. Lednick is an active member of Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge 1721.

Mr. Lednick continues his involvement with multiple admissions and association to increase his legal knowledge and experience in order to render unparalleled representation to his clients. Steve has a broad understanding of law in multiple states and jurisdictions but dedicates his attention to the residents of Jefferson and immediately surrounding counties. He is dedicated to his family and his community and prides himself on involvement in civic associations and organizations that are focused on economic and fraternal growth.
